Susanne is our oldest cottage and it was built in 1962 by the father of the two brothers that now own the property. He spent his summers in it until he passed away in 1978. His wife continued to spend her summers there until the early nineties. Susanne was named after the oldest of the three daughters of the two brothers.

In 2005 this cottage was totally renovated and updated, but you'll still see much evidence of its hominess. The entire cottage is paneled in knotty pine on the walls and ceiling. The spacious kitchen and great room is flanked by a large master bedroom/study and an additional smaller bedroom. It has a unique brick fireplace and a pullout bed for smaller children or visitors in the great room. The master bedroom has a queen size bed (2 twin beds) together with a small study. The other bedroom has 2 day beds. The total cottage size is about 600 sq. ft.

The cottage has cathedral ceilings and a large bay window providing a striking view of the sun setting over the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. It has a single bathroom with tub and shower. For the occasional chilly night or morning there is electric baseboard heat. It is nicely nestled in the trees and very well insulated but for the occasional warm day the great room and the smaller bedroom have ceiling fans.
